More: Luke is my service dog. He is the one who is always sure to be at my side and certain to be sure I am not invisible but my wheelchair is. . When people see him with me they are drawn to him. This leads to conversation. And it seems like often people don’t see a cane or wheelchair but a person with a wonderful, happy to meet them, happy to introduce me, dog named Luke. When Luke runs or swims oe jumps a downed tree… he is running and swimming and jumping for me. He is my joy, my boy, my security, my social ice breaker, my outdoor lover, my best friend.
