More: Luke Loves everybody and is a constant reminder of all that is good and hopeful and loving in this world. He Licks our cats ears, has never met a stranger, and is even trained to lay his head down ever so gently on the lap of an elderly or wheelchair bound person for petting. He seen us through thick and thin as an outdoor family companion. We owned his mother and we were there for his home birth at 1.5 pounds. Our 10 year old son Koen chose him out of the litter to be his very best friend. Now weighing in at 95 pounds, Luke loves to go on outdoor hikes(always leading our family as if clearing the trail and checking the trail for danger) His joy is to swim in streams, and bathe in waterfalls! Of course he loves to be run freely down trails and never strays more than a “Bob-white” whistle away! He has “supervised “ gold panning in north and South Carolina streams and loves to make and catch his own splashes when swimming. Never to be left behind, when he was younger -and smaller-he would sit in our kayaks dry well for a lake adventure! Luke is getting older now, and we now WE go where HE can go. Maybe not quite so far or not with so many uphill steps, but always with the same shared love of the freedom that being out in nature brings!
