More: Maggie is our 14 year old Labrador Mix that we adopted from our local humane society when she was 8 weeks old. We lived on a lake for all of her life up until the last month, and she LOVED boating, paddle-boarding, swimming, jumping in the water and fetching her waterproof toys. She is such a lovable, wonderful dog with a big personality. She has grown too old now to do a lot of her former activities, but she still loves her daily walks and sitting on our deck. She has been my running partner, our hiking partner and has even done a couple "14ers" (Colorado mountain peaks exceeding 14,000 feet). She has been progressively declining the last few months, and we are grateful for every day we have left with her.
