More: Maize was found dumped on the side of the road after just having puppies, no sign of her puppies in sight. There was food scattered all over the concrete right next to a busy highway. She was accompanied with another pregnant dog. She had eight puppies two days after we picked her up. All eight puppies and the momma now have loving homes. Maize was underweight, had significant hair loss, and mastitis. She was fearful of everything, especially getting in a car. Over the past 6 months, I have trained her and socialized her and she is now at peak health and leading one of the happiest lives. I take her anywhere she is able to explore and see new places and she is now one of the most outgoing, happy dogs.
