More: Mars was surrendered due to his ever growing list of difficult-to-pinpoint health issues. He became weak and lost weight even while being fed double what a dog his size should eat. After months of testing and trial and error, the cause of his issues was finally narrowed down and medication was started. Within a couple weeks, he started to regain muscle mass and energy and blossomed into the sweetest, goofiest dog who wanted nothing more than to be attached to my hip. He’s my do-it-all, go anywhere, try anything best buddy and I wouldn’t trade those vet bills or frustrated tears for anything else in the world. He’s happy and healthy now and lives his best life with his 3 housemates.
