More: Maverick is a rescue dog. He came into my life two years ago, when he was about a year old. Mav had a fear or dislike of adult men, but we bonded quickly as he learned to trust me. Mav helped me too, I'm a retired veteran and we walk together, 3-8 miles, almost every day. He turned out to be a natural hunter, and is good on pheasant, chukar and quail.
