More: We adopted Maxie when she was about a year and a half. She was very timid - she would hide under furniture and was really afraid of many specific things. It took her awhile to get comfortable with her new family and to recognize that she was very loved by us. She found her passions for running after the b-a-l-l, swimming, and exploring. She is a very happy, energetic girl and her eyes grow sparklier every day. Oh how we love her.
