More: We rescued Betty three years ago and she had terrible anxiety. She also didn't like other dogs. We worked with her for over a year and helped her overcome her anxiety. It was a struggle but we loved her and knew we could help her. Then we had the idea to get another dog. Not sure how she Betty would react but we knew it has to be a baby and we love our hounds so it had to be a hound puppy. And then there's Maude. She joined our family last August and after about two weeks of ignoring Maude, Betty accepted her and became the BEST big sister to her. They are now inseparable and even sleep together in each other's Orvis dog beds.
