More: Merle was a feral dog that showed up at my farm. No shelter would take him due to his aggressive behavior. Because of this I made a choice to befriend him as some of the neighbors considered him a threat that needed to be removed. I was the only person he would let touch him for the longest time. He was very protective of me. We worked through his issues together and now he is a very happy, healthy, and social pup!
