More: Moose is a South Carolina rescue dog with a heart as big as his giant hound ears. His absolute favorite activity is canoeing with his people, but he's not content to just sit in the canoe. Oh no. He jumps in and swims right next to us. He'll go for miles. His big feet are just like paddles. And then when we stop for a picnic he does his best to get us to throw sticks for him. Here he is in this picture trying his darndest to interest me in that stick, even though he'd just spent an hour swimming along with the canoe. I caught him mid-head-shake-and-stomp, then distracted him with peanut butter from my sandwich. Then we put the canoe back in, he jumped back into the water and kept on swimming.
