More: We rescued Oakley when he was 1 year old. He was born with congenital cataracts and could not see very well at all. When he was 1 1/2 years old, he had double cataract surgery and a new lens put into his right eye. The day after the surgery he went into the backyard and looked up and noticed birds flying overhead. It was an awesome thing to witness him really noticing his surroundings for the first time. He is the sweetest guy and loves people and other dogs and is a great older brother to our other 2 goldens.
