More: Obie is our sweet, freckly “quarantine pup”. We rescued him at the beginning of April 2020 when we learned how much time we would be spending at home this year. This photo is from his first trip to the beach at St. Simons Island, GA, where there is a fantastic beach dog community. He explored the new scents of sand and saltwater, zoomed around the beach with new friends, and put his recent off-leash training to the test (great success!). He also loves hiking, chasing squirrels, laying by a warm fireplace, and his favorite trick: “family hug”.
