More: Oreo had a rough life before he came to us, abused, neglected, shifted from home to home. When he came to us he bonded immediately with my disabled husband and assigned himself the task of watching out for my husband. He even saved his life once, when he was choking and no one else was in the room, he started barking to let us know of the danger. He was on the bed with my husband when my husband died, and stayed on the bed with him for 6 hours until the funeral home came to pick him up. Since then he and I have become inseparable, he is who got me through the loss and together we have built a new life. I don't know if I could have done it without him! He is the best part of my life.
