More: We adopted Penelope as a rescue seven years ago. She came into our lives at special time. We learned that in the first two years of her life, she lived in five different states and was in prison training program down south. No one seemed to want her as she was a nervous dog. We are happy to say that today she is a well-adjusted pooch, thanks to our local dog obedience program and lots of care and attention from my husband and me. She also is a cancer survivor, too.
