More: Sangye the Shihtzu was born with a cleft palette and given a 50% chance of survival. I tube fed him for the first four months of life until he was big enough for surgery. He has never looked back! He loves to hike and kayak with me. Willa, his big sister is a rescue from Louisiana. She was found in a high kill shelter second on the list for euthanasia when she was rescued and brought to Connecticut where I adopted her. They are both my hiking buddies and I look forward to many more adventures with them!
