More: Santana is a senior dog with special needs (about 90% blind, heart murmur, etc) and he spent several weeks alone and afraid in a rural animal shelter in North Carolina. We rescued him and he’s been a part of our family for three years now. We absolutely adore him! He might not be a typical “cover model” but we hope his story inspires others to adopt a senior dog.
