Shasta

Looking adorably handsome on the couch

More: Shasta is a survivor, like any I have ever met. I scooped him off the highway after he was ran over by a semi truck in the mount Shasta region (hence his name). He was running across the highway with a pack of wild dogs when he and his fellow brother were hit by passing semi trucks. His brother died and the rest of the pack took off into the woods. Shasta was picked up by me and rushed to a local hospital in Redding California. They treated him and had to amputate his back right leg. I remained in contact with the vet and asked what was to come of this dog? They said they can not keep him due to being over crowded and that he will need to be adopted or will be put down. I asked if I can adopt him once healed? They agreed and two weeks later I drove from Portland oregon, down to California and the rest of history.
