More: Smokey was born and raised on our dairy farm. He may be a mama's boy, but his love for hunting over the years is unmatched. He no longer hunts, but still involved with car rides around the farm as we check the pits and blinds. He is deaf, but it doesn't stop him from looking for birds. His nose is often in the air as fall approaches and the migratory geese arrive. We now have a two-year-old that stays with him and often are his ears. She will poke him with her nose when his attention is needed. At 14 he doesn't miss a beat, and often is found snoozing in our bed.
