More: We adopted Sophie from Red River Old English Sheepdog Rescue in September of 2020. Our two oldest OES, Fred and Ethel, had led their best lives here in Colorado but went over the rainbow bridge within a year of each other. Our youngest OES, Rickie was depressed and we were as well. We missed the mayhem of 3 dogs. We learned about Sophie through our local CO OES rescue group. We also leaned that she was from a backyard breeder and the only pup from her litter without a forever home. Why not take on a new challenge? She has been an amazing addition to our crew, LOVES LOVES LOVES the snow, and has never heard the word “no”. 😉. She is profoundly deaf.
