More: Spike is a 5 year old rescue dog. From a high kill shelter in Texas where he was found with a broken leg. He was sponsored by A team Elite dog rescue and brought to N.Y for medical care. He had metal plates put in his leg to fix the fracture, then those plates removed later. I was working at the emergency animal hospital he was kenneled at during his care. We were meant for each other, he would break out of his kennel and run through the hospital to find me. Today is his year adoption anniversary, he runs like he never had a broken leg and is spoiled rotten. He is also now serving me as my service dog for a medical condition. A once in a lifetime dog!
