More: Steps was a rescue. ARF(Animal Rescue Fund Hampton’s) picked him and a bunch of other dogs up from S Carolina. Story was he and his litter mates were living in an abandoned shed. Shortly after we adopted, he became very sick. Fever spiked, and he spent a week in West Hills animal hospital. He came out and got sick again a week later. We almost lost him. They IV’d him and put him on different meds. That was 7 years ago. He’s doing great and loves life during the pandemic as it means more time with his family!
