More: Sushi is an Akita, which is a Japanese breed so his full name is “Hisashi” meaning “always with you” in Japanese. He was raised by my brother who was in the navy and struggling mentally and Hisashi got him through that. And that’s why his name has its meaning. Unlike his aggressive breed, sushi loves people and being a loyal and loving protector that makes an amazing service dog. Everyone who meets sushi, loves sushi. He lives with his mommy at Old Dominion University, and even has his own Instagram, @bigdawgsushi, where he posts about living the college life.
