More: Teal is my best friend. I actually entered her into this contest before knowing Orvis is donating to the Cancer research fund for dogs. Last year I went through one of the scariest dog mom moments. I was told that Teal had Sarcoma. After undergoing surgery to remove the mass Teal and I were blessed enough to be cancer free. Picking her up after surgery and seeing the 4 inch long incision and the pain in her eyes was the worst thing I have experienced as a dog mom. Knowing that Orvis is doing what it can to help prevent these scenarios makes this competition that much more special. I don't know what I would do with out Teal and luckily I do not have to worry about that because of the technology and treatments that have been created thus far. The more research the more dogs we can save- and the owners. Teal was not even 3 when we found out about the sarcoma. No dog deserves to face the devil that is cancer, no matter how old or young.
