More: We rescued Trouper when he was about a year old. He was hit by a car on the south side of Chicago and the blow crushed his leg and required his jaw to be wired shut in order to heal. His leg could not be saved and was later amputated. That’s all we know about Troupers life prior to our adoption. Despite his past, Trouper was the happiest, care-free, frat boy of a dog we’ve ever had. 3 legs didn’t slow him down.
