Trucks

“The funny thing about giving your dog the best life you can imagine, is that you end up living your own.”

More: My husband (and Trucks’ dad) died from a ultra-rare form of cancer five years ago at the age of 26. Since then, this dog has been my constant. We’ve been to nearly every state together (minus Hawaii and Alaska) — from Key West to the San Juan Islands, he’s seen it all, right by my side. He will lick the tears off my face when I’m sad and literally jumps up and down (like he’s on a trampoline) when he sees me. He is down for a lazy cuddle day, yet he is also down for an adventurous 20 mile hike. He is so silly and has all these made up games that he plays with himself while I work from home every day; there is never a dull moment. He’s my favorite, most loyal travel companion. My true best bud. My soul dog. Photo taken on the Oregon coast fall 2021 on 35mm film.
