More: After raising litters of Labs and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers for 18 years I never thought I would have a mutt. However this dog is hands down more intelligent/intuitive than any other dog I've ever had. Willie goes through rapids with me on my kayak, rappels down cliffs to get down to my favorite brown trout hole, and has easily hiked over 500 miles in 2020 alone. Willie has chased off black bears, alerted me to copperheads under my hammock while we were sleeping in the hammock. He has a penchant for ignoring large groups of ladies who want to pet him and is a connoisseur of trash found in the field. If I get in the final running for this let me know and ill shoot you a few other pictures that will solidify Willies merit.
