More: Zero has been an excellent companion. Zero is an inside pet and has lived a leash free life for 11 years. Free to swim and run on his own property. Six months ago, I moved, to a mandatory leash community. A nice surprize last month with historical records of snowfall of 12 inches. Zero loves to play and eat snow. Snow football was his final gift. He lives up to his breed name as he is a fabulous retriever, catcher, swimmer and dock jumper. Zero is in the last year of his life as his hips are deteriorating. He has enjoyed personalized Orvis orange collars and dog beds over the years.
