More: Zeus was born on 12/14/12 the date of the Sandy Hook school shooting. My wife was a teacher at Sandy Hook on that terrible day (and she’s still a proud Sandy Hook teacher). Shortly after the tragedy a wonderful women in Texas who raised Golden doodles contacted the district and told them of her litter born on 12/14. She offered a dog to any teacher or student at the school who was effected and who would benefit by raising a beautiful doodle. We adopted Zeus and she was raised by our daughter. Zeus has been Sarah’s rock and companion since he arrived. They live in Black Rock,CT where now Sarah is, like her amazing Mom, an elementary school teacher. Even amidst unspeakable tragedy there are acts of kindness that save us, everyday.
