More: Zeus is a rescue. He was a return to breeder at the age of 2 because the owners could no longer care for home. He was not a pet, he was a dog that lived in an outdoor concrete slab kennel 24/7. My husband drove from NH to KY to meet the breeder and meet Zeus. It was love at first sight. Once in our care we learned from our vet that he was FULL of heartworm and most likely infested for more than a year. We did what had to be done to cure him. Unfortunately he doesn’t have the weimeraner stamina and energy. That’s ok, he’s a very well loved fella and joy to have.
