More: Zia was rescued from the Harrison County Humane Society in Shinnston WV. She spends her days greeting patients in an outpatient physical therapy center, Fyzical Therapy. In the evenings and on weekends, she joins me on my hiking and mountain biking adventures around the neighbors horse farm, at Coopers Rock State Forest, as well as many other backcountry hikes in WV. When she’s not working or playing, she helps my wife, Kate, with cookie baking and the clean up afterwards. Zia will watch over the fields from her usual spots on the deck for any dangers while watching I mow. And, she loves her naps in the sun whenever she gets a chance. She follows me everywhere, to work, to Lowes, and the local bike shop PathfinderWV in Morgantown WV. When it’s time to wind down in the evenings, Zia finds her spot on top of her 4 stacked beds that belonged to her older “siblings”, Gus and Nova, who have unfortunately passed on.
